april favorites

i know it's not the end of april yet but i'm doing this now because i have like 2 weeks left of college until my summer vacation so i don't know how often i'm going to be able to post blogs for the next 2 weeks. so i'm going to do an april favorites right now. i'm going to put all of my favorites in a list form.

1. smashbox photo finish primer
2. too faced shadow insurance primer
3. physician's formula tinted moisturizer
4. cover girl lash blast luxe mascara
5. nyx mosaic powders
6. bh cosmetics 88 matte pallete
7. ulta professional's highlighter brush
8. john frieda's red shampoo & conditioner
9. inecto pure coconut oil hair serum

i'm sure that there are more but i can't really think of them right now. i'm doing this list at the top of my head so it's a little short. also, i'm going to have my wisdom teeth out soon so that is also going to prevent me from posting blogs on here as well.

until next time,

outfit of the day: shopping with the girls

onto the second blog post for today! for this blog i'm posting an outfit of the day. which today i'm going shopping with the girls so this outfit is going to be super casual with a little bit of a girly twist. i'm going to tell you where each individual piece of clothing is from and how much it's from. so if you want the same exact outfit you can go out and get it yourself! :)

my shirt for today is obviously from abercrombie and fitch. this shirt was actually given to me so i'm not sure how old it is and how much it cost but i'm sure you can find one similar to this shirt from tj maxx or even a&f itself. i also paired it with a tiffany look-alike necklace and i got this from ulta around valentine's day when i bought a fragrance of $30 or more and i got the necklace as a free gift. and i just put my hair in a messy side braid.

i paired the abercrombie shirt in navy blue with a white jean. it's spring and i see that white is in so i thought that navy blue and white would look perfect. i got these jeans from wet seal. they are a skinny jean and with this particular style of jean it's a low rise and they come in short, average or tall sizes to fit your height. so it was a perfect fit for me since i'm five foot one. :) these jeans were $26.50 but i got them on sale for $19.

i thought that i would complete this casual look with a girly wedge. wedges are also in for spring so i thought that it would make my entire outfit look super cute. i got these from wal-mart a few years back and they were around $10 to $15. super cheap. you can find wedges anywhere nowadays. and like i said before i wanted this look to be casual but have a little girly twist and i think that these wedges definitely do the trick!

now for my next picture is a watch from american eagle. it was $14.95 and it's super cute watch. you can see the nice detailing with the heart on the face of the watch. it fits kind of like your boyfriend's watch. loose, but not too loose to where it's going to slip off of your wrist. they also had different colors in this watch. you could either pick silver or gold. and i'm more of a silver girl than gold so i thought this would be PERFECT. i think it's a great addition to any girls jewelry collection. this watch is sure to get you some compliments because i know i have gotten many from alot of other girls in my classes at school. the next picture is just an overview of the whole entire outfit. just to see the outfit as a whole. so you see the abercrombie & fitch shirt, my white jeans from wet seal, my brown wedges from wal-mart, my watch from american eagle, and you can sort of see my necklace from ulta. overall, a good casual outfit when you're going shopping with you girlfriends. let me know what you girls think! write me comments and be sure to follow! :)

until next time,

review: maybelline's studio gel liner

ok ladies, here is another one of my reviews! today i'm going to be reviewing maybelline's eyestudio gel liner. i've always wanted to try a gel liner because i have heard a lot of good things about them so i decided to pick one up from Ulta. I got the color blackest black because that's all i ever wear when it comes to liners. now, i'm not 100% sure about this liner, i don't know if it's something that i'm allergic to or what it is but when i put it on my water line my eyes actually start burning! so i can only use this on my upper lash line which is fine with me because i love using my urban decay eye pencil in zero. here's a picture of what the gel liner looks like inside of the little pot.

it's pretty basic and you can tell from the picture i have already used it. now, i like the liner on my upper lash line but the only problem is, is that i can't make the line thin with the brush that you get with it. so i'm not too crazy about the brush. so if any of you girls get this liner definitely get an eyeliner brush for this because the brush is not very good. i mean the brush isn't even angled or anything so it makes for a very sloppy application. i'm going to show you girls what the brush looks like and you can tell me what you guys think! because i for one, am not a huge fan at all! so i guess it's going to be time for me to go to my Ulta and purchase an angled eyeliner brush.

it's not a very good picture but you can tell from the picture that it doesn't look like a very good brush. the brush might work for someone else but i'm the type of person that something like this needs to be easy for me and this brush definitely doesn't! and if you're the type of person who likes thick liner on your lids then this brush is a definite go-to for you! i just prefer my liner to be thin. but here's my review on the gel liner. so overall, it's a good product i just don't recommend putting it on your water line and using the brush unless you like thick liner on your eyelids. i'm going to be doing 2 blog posts today. obviously, this is my first one and my second one is going to be an outfit of the day. so i hope you enjoyed reading and found my review to be helpful to you! oh, and the gel liner at Ulta was 40% so it was only $5.99 instead of i think $8.99. So from now on i'm not only going to be doing reviews on here but i'm probably going to be posting outfits of the day & probably some hauls that i'm going to be doing reviews on products. so keep looking back to check out my newest blogs!

until next time,

review: E.L.F's 12 piece professional brush set

so, today's product that i'm going to be reviewing today is E.L.F's (eyes, lips, face) 12 piece professional brush set. now the set only cost me $12 so basically that is $1 for every brush! talk about a really good deal! now some cons about these brushes are:
1. the foundation and concealer brush aren't very good. the foundation brush is very streaky and hard to blend. and the concealer brush isn't big enough to be a concealer brush in my opinion.
2. it took them almost 2 weeks for my order to arrive to my house! and when i called customer service, they said they were experiencing order overload and they are taking longer than usual to ship things out to customers.
now, for the pro's of the brush set:
1. other than the foundation and concealer brush every other brush is AMAZING!
2. and like i had said before they're not badly priced.
3. when you get the set in the mail, they put each and every individual brush in it's own package.
4. the eyeshadow brushes are great for packing on alot of color to you eyelids.
so overall, these brushes are really great but i just wouldn't recommend buying the foundation brush and concealer brush.
until next time,

review: nyx mosaic powder in dare

hello ladies! it's another review from me! today, i'm going to be reviewing nyx's mosaic powder. the one i purchased was the color dare. personally i think you can use this as either a blush or as a bronzer depending on your skin tone. i personally use this as my everyday blush. i love, love, LOVE this powder! it's amazing and they have amazing colors and give your cheeks amazing color as well. and it's not badly priced either. i usually use a highlighter brush for this powder because i usually like my blushes to look as natural as possible. but i definitely recommend buying this product! you can purchase this at Ulta, Wal-Mart, Target, any kind of drugstore. But i know you can buy this product from Ulta 100%!

Until next time ladies,

review: bh cosmetics 88 matte palette

i'm reviewing the bh cosmetics 88 matte eyeshadow palette. first of all, before i even start my review i want to talk about how long it took me to actually buy this product. when i first heard about this product it was on youtube. i was watching a few beauty gurus who were raving about this product and even using this exact palette in some of their tutorials. and after watching hundreds of youtube videos of other girls reviewing this product i finally forced myself to purchase it!! and this palette isn't even badly priced at all! for 88 different colored eyeshadows at only i think it was $18.95! talk about a deal! and shipping was only $5.95. and it took them less than a week to get to my house as well. when i received my package i was SUPER excited and so ready to open up the package and start using all of the eyeshadows in the palette. now, alot of the girls on youtube were talking about how pigmented each shadow was and so of course i had to try it out for myself and see. and they were 100% right! each eyeshadow is super pigmented and the palette itself has super bright colors. overall, this product is definitely worth the money you spend on it! you get great colors and there's a wide variety of them!

until next time,

review: inecto pure coconut oil hair smoothing serum

hi guys!
so let me start off by saying that i'm going to actually put this blog to some good use. i decided that i'm going to use this blog to review beauty and hair products to help all you girls out! so if any of you have any questions about products or have some suggestions as to what products i should review you can email me at amysuegarrison08@gmail.com or you can message me here! :)

so the product that i'm reviewing today is called inecto pure coconut oil hair smoothing serum.

now let me start off by saying that this product really works! i love this hair product! not only does it smooth down my flyaways but it also makes my dry and brittle ends feel so soft! not to mention that the product smells really good! :) and i only got it for i think $10. which isn't a bad price for a hair serum. now, the only thing i do recommend is to not put the serum directly at your roots because it will make your hair look greasy and oily.

hope you guys have a great day!
